I’ve been through a lot in my life, from losing loved ones to experiencing the pain of chronic illness. But despite these hardships, I’ve discovered that having a resilient mindset is one of the best ways to get through difficult times and bounce back stronger than ever before.
A resilient mindset is one that can help us get through difficult times. It is not just the ability to bounce back from difficult times, but also the ability to bounce forward to new challenges.
Resiliency is not about being able to deal with whatever comes your way without complaint or feeling sorry for yourself—it’s about accepting reality and doing what needs to be done in order to make things better. This applies to many things in life like health, finances, relationships, and dreams.
To have a resilient mindset, you need:
The first step to developing a resilient mindset is not giving up.
Remember when I said that you should think about your health, finances, relationships, and dreams? That’s because this can be applied to any aspect of life. You may have an important test coming up at school or work. Maybe someone close to you has fallen ill and you’ve been spending more time with them than usual. Your car might have broken down or one of your favorite possessions may have been stolen from you recently as well.
These are just some examples of things that happen every day in our lives, but they don’t necessarily mean the end if we keep pushing forward!
Even if everything seems like it’s going wrong right now – remember:
Don’t give up on yourself!
Just because something bad happens doesn’t mean we should throw in the towel and quit on our goals just yet; we still have plenty left over until then so let’s keep going!
A flexible mindset allows you to see the world from multiple perspectives, instead of just your own. It means being open to new ideas, even when they go against what you believe.
When faced with a problem, flexible people try new approaches first. They avoid sticking to their plan or working on the same thing forever because they know that doing so won’t solve anything—and it may even make things worse!
Flexibility also makes it easier for people with a resilient mindset to adjust their schedules and plans as needed in order to meet their goals.
The only way to be happy is to accept and welcome change. You will have good days and bad days, but it’s important to take the time to celebrate your accomplishments no matter what they are—even if it’s just remembering that you have an umbrella on a rainy day!
Seek support from others:
Friends and family. If you’re lucky enough to have supportive friends, they can be a great source of comfort during times of stress or difficulty. They may be able to help identify what’s bothering you, offer advice on how to solve the problem at hand, or just listen as you talk things out.
A professional. Mental health professionals such as psychologists, psychiatrists, counselors, and social workers are experienced in helping people with their mental health concerns and thought processes—and they can provide an objective opinion about your situation.
Sometimes all it takes is talking through challenging circumstances with someone who has no stake in the outcome but still cares about your well-being for things to fall into place more easily than expected.
It doesn’t matter if this person is hired specifically for their expertise (for example a therapist) or not; simply sharing ideas with someone else who cares can go a long way toward helping clarify problems when all seems lost and help you learn how to be more resilient in your thinking when things seem to spiral out of control.
It’s safe to say that you’ve probably experienced irritability when you don’t get enough sleep and that directly affects the way you’re able to bounce back from certain situations.
When you’re tired, your body just wants to shut down. And when you do, it gives your brain the time it needs to process everything that happened during the day and recharge for the following day.
Short-term sleep deprivation can have serious consequences: You might have trouble concentrating or remembering details, and lack of adequate rest has been linked with an increased risk of heart disease, diabetes, and obesity. Long-term sleep deprivation may lead to depression and anxiety issues.
In general, adults need seven to nine hours of sleep per night—but this number varies from person to person depending on their age; genetics; work schedule; overall health conditions; whether they are taking medications that affect their ability to fall asleep (e.g., antidepressants); whether they’ve been traveling across multiple time zones in recent days/weeks/months, etc.
A good sense of humor is an essential part of a resilient mindset. When you can laugh at yourself, it’s easier to appreciate life’s little surprises and setbacks.
A good sense of humor will help you feel connected to the people in your life. It also gives you a positive outlook on the future, which can help you take on new challenges and be more productive when faced with them.
Physical activity is great for your mental and physical health. It can help you sleep better, manage stress, feel more confident and improve your mood. Exercise can also help you feel more relaxed and help you clear your mind, making resiliency a little easier to manage.
We all experience difficult and stressful times.
Resilient people have the capacity to endure hardship, adapt to change, and maintain a positive outlook on life. They have the confidence to withstand adversity, which allows them to make effective decisions about how they can respond when faced with a challenge.
Resilience has been shown to play an important role in mental health, physical health, and overall wellbeing.
We may think that resilience is something you either have or don’t—but it’s actually something that can be learned!
The more we practice certain behaviors (like expressing gratitude), the more likely we are to remember them in the future when things aren’t going so well personally or professionally
By now, you might be thinking about the resilience you’ve shown in your life. If so, that’s great! You can use this information to help yourself during tough times and bounce back from adversity.
Remember that you’re not alone—it’s important to surround yourself with supportive people who will listen when you need them most.

Getting enough sleep is my challenge as I rarely get 7-9 hours uninterrupted sleep. I will wake up at least once every night and struggle to get back to sleep! If I don’t nap during the day, I “snack” more and focus less! Great blog!!
