Today on the blog, I wanted to get deep and talk about something that I’ve been thinking a lot about lately.
No business tips, no style guides, just real and raw — from the heart.
Time is flying. Have you ever looked up and realized that 10-20 years have passed? Maybe you find yourself saying “man, I wish I would have taken this trip when I had the chance”, or “wow, I really should have invested time and money into taking care of myself”.
You’re not alone.
People always say that time is our most valuable, non-renewable resource. And if you’ve heard this before, you might be thinking Felicia, I know, I know, I know! But really take a moment to think about that. If you’re living for the weekend, it’s important to note that the average lifetime has only 3,900 Saturdays.
Living intentionally is one of the most important habits you can get into. Here is a brainstorm list of ways you can start (or continue) to do just that.
- Travel
- Go to events + have new experiences
- Tell your friends and family that you love them (often!)
- Send postcards
- Take vacations
- Experience new cultures
- Take more photographs
- Say “yes” to things that fill you up
- Introduce yourself to new people
… and plenty more that I am sure I am forgetting.
(Also, notice that I didn’t say “go to the gym, eat well, get 8 hours of sleep, etc. That stuff is important too, but if your schedule is so rigid that you’re not really living life either, then some balance is in order!)
Time is precious. We can’t get it back. Are you spending your time passionately, joyfully, fulfilled?
