We all know that famous Beatles lyric — “I get by with a little help from my friends”. Here’s the thing… It’s so true. Whether you’re the CEO of a big corporation or you’re running a solo operation, you need help! I feel so lucky to have the helpers I have, so today, let’s talk about ’em.
1.) CPA
My CPA (Certified Public Accountant) helps me with almost anything and everything financial. From taxes to financial planning, having them around puts my mind at so much ease that I can leave it all to them — this gives me more time to focus on what I do best: photography!
2.) Bookkeeper
On the other side of the coin, I have my bookkeeper. They keep track of the week-to-week expenses, budgeting, and reconciling! The best part about having a bookkeeper is that they categorize all my expenses — which makes my CPA’s job 10x easier at the end of the tax year.
3.) Virtual Assistant Company
Since 2020, virtual assistants are all-the-rage — but the benefit of working with a VA that works within a company is priceless. While my personal VA handles some marketing materials and internal admin work, the company itself helps me with delegation. And when my VA doesn’t know how to complete a task, she can ask her colleagues (or bring on someone else) to help with things that she might not be an expert at.
4.) My Business Attorney
Business attorneys can help you legally start your business, write the proper contracts for your state, enforce those contracts, handle any breaches, get you trademarked and more. Similar to my CPA — it’s nice to have some peace of mind knowing that you are covered in case of any foul play, mishaps, or otherwise!
