We often forget that the person who deserves our gratitude the most is the one staring back at us in the mirror
Think about it—how often do you criticize yourself? How often do you notice your flaws, replay your mistakes, or tell yourself you’re not enough? If you’re like most people, the answer is way too often. And that negativity? It’s quietly shaping your entire life.
The way you see yourself affects everything—your confidence, relationships, opportunities, health, and even your ability to receive love and abundance. When you believe you’re lacking, unworthy, or not good enough, you unknowingly create a reality that reflects those beliefs right back to you.
But here’s the good news: you have the power to change this.
And it starts with something simple: mirror practice.
The Mirror Practice That Will Transform Your Life
Every time you look in the mirror, instead of focusing on what you don’t like, I want you to do this:
- Look at yourself with love and compassion, as you would a dear friend.
- Say three things you’re grateful for about yourself. It can be anything—your resilience, your kindness, your creativity, your sense of humor, your body’s ability to heal and move, anything.
- Take a deep breath and let that gratitude sink in.
At first, it might feel awkward. You might resist it. But if you stick with it, something magical happens.
Gratitude shifts your energy. It dissolves feelings of lack, disappointment, and unworthiness. When you start seeing yourself with love, your life starts reflecting that love back to you. You’ll notice your confidence growing, your relationships improving, and opportunities flowing in because you finally see yourself as worthy of them.
I’ve been practicing this for years, and I can tell you—it works.
So, try it. Look in the mirror today and tell yourself three things you’re grateful for. Do it tomorrow, and the next day, and the next. Then, watch how your world begins to shift.
Let me know how it goes—I’d love to hear your experience!
