One of the most-asked questions and concerns here at Felicia Reed Photography is, “what the heck am I going to wear!?”. The topic of wardrobe comes up at every single client consult, so it’s safe to say that by now, we are experts. I like to keep it simple. It’s not about the clothes, it’s all about you (and creating the best version of you). Here are my best tips on the dreaded topic of What to Wear.
Finding Great New Pieces
Can you name one thing that is better than new clothes? No? Me neither! There’s nothing like a new piece to get you excited, confident, and loving the skin you’re in. Although there are literally thousands of shops to recommend, my favorites are Asos, Zara, Baltic Born, and Amazon.
Yes, you heard me right: AMAZON! Look at these fierce (and affordable) Amazon finds:
Remelon Women Deep V Neck Shiny Glitter Ruffle
SheIn Women’s Plus Elegant Contrast Lace Sleeve
Beyove Women’s 3/4 Stretchy Ruched Lightweight Blazer Jacket
Borrowing from Friends
A lot of clients forget that they can also borrow from friends! We like this method here at FRP because your friends often have some absolute gems stored away somewhere that you don’t even know about. Plus, it creates great memories (and an excuse to get together).
The Studio Wardrobe
Did you know that we have an entire studio wardrobe at your disposal? From dresses to jackets to accessories and more, we’ve got tons of options to either add to your existing look or create a new one altogether. In fact, the most asked-for pieces in the studio are our large white men’s t-shirt, tuxedo jacket, and black turtleneck. We like to keep it simple and classy.
So, whether this is your first photoshoot or your 5th rodeo in front of the camera, there are tons of clothing options at your disposal. And on top of all that, each photoshoot comes with a pre-shoot wardrobe consultation so that we can iron out the details beforehand and have the most glamorous time day-of.
