Ever feel like the voices in your head won’t stop? What’s next? What’d you forget to do? What are you not
doing enough of? What are you doing too much off? Analyzing and over analyzing EVVVERYthing.
No you’re not crazy. And yes it’s normal. How do you shut it down? How do you create space in your brain to
effectively focus on the things that matter most to you?
Write it down y’all!
Many of us would consider ourselves “visual learners” but the benefits of actively writing things down so that
we can see them, offers us the opportunity look at them through a different lens. Jotting down your thoughts
has way too many benefits not to attempt to put it into a more of a habitual practice.
5 ways putting pen to paper so to speak can assist you in your greater good:
Clearing head space for room to more clearly hear your intuition.
Your gut is a good one. Your own inner knowing of what steps or actions to take in any life situation for the
benefit of your highest good is waiting to be heard. When there’s too much noise going on upstairs we lose
our own innate ability to trust ourselves. To trust others. To trust the process. Expelling the thoughts from
brain to hand to paper is simple release. And in the release, you’re actively making room.
De-stress, De-color, Decode, Defragment- and Get Organized.
Seeing the sometimes messy thought process on paper allows our brains to visually see and shift where
needed. Perhaps the order is all wrong. Perhaps there was a misunderstanding or a new understanding of
intention. Perhaps there are thoughts that should tabled for later, because they just don’t need attention in
the now, or perhaps they need to be stricken from record completely.
Inspire Creativity.
The act of writing can elicit an excitement that allows uninhibited possibility within your creative human
nature. Let your magic flow and don’t be afraid to think BIG.
The Opportunity to Self Reflect.
By putting yourself in the hot seat, but only to yourself, is yours and yours alone. It’s private. It’s not wrong or
bad. It’s just a walk in your brain. And the beauty of getting your thoughts on paper is YOU get to decide what
stays, what goes, what needs work and most importantly a chance to pat yourself on the back for just how far
you’ve thus come.
Strategizing and Achieving Goals.
We were put here for a purpose. Our brains contain incredible ideas that wish to be unleashed unto the world.
So get them out where you can see them and break them out into small actionable steps you can take that will
get you closer to the goal at hand. Believing is seeing my friends, I promise it works!
